Afternoon share, final final quali on now! Still very wet out.
Live timing here
Autosport’s excellent play-by-play here
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Raining hard now with an hour and 20 minutes left, so times aren’t going to improve. There’s talk of further BOP adjustment, particularly on the Fords and Ferraris.
Listen live with Radio Le Mans here or with the TuneIn app:

Going to be a great race at the front. Audi may be a little behind on pace but that is not unusual for them and they will fight back.
I honestly don’t think they should be implementing BOP adjustments against anyone during the race weekend. Maybe a slightly larger restrictor for the Vettte, Porsche, and Aston but they can’t really punish the Ford and Ferrari in the weekend as they have been fast the entire season and they missed the opportunity to hit them before Le Mans. They have to be REALLY careful if they do implement adjustments to make sure they don’t take cars completely out of contention or make one dominate.
Another note is that the Ford and Ferrari are built to the 2017 rules while the others are built to 2015/2016 rules. There is a big difference in the rules especially with the Aero that the other teams haven’t developed yet. Just like 2005 was a transition year for Prototypes (see the Pescarolo C60H LMP1 vs the Audi R8 LMP900) 2016 is a transition year for GT and the cars built to the new specs are going to be faster than the old cars.

Also, there’s a third qualifying session later tonight. Wonder if it will dry up in time...?

I should have mentioned that, I can’t listen at work so didn’t think of it. Updated.

I made a post about it too. Race car sounds improve work by a significant amount. haha

I agree. The Corvettes in particular could use a little help I think, but as ever the balance is hard to find, and changing things so close to the race is guaranteed to be unfair to somebody.

Yea the corvettes could use a little help (though I don’t know what is up with the #63 being 2 seconds off of the #64). I don’t know why they were hit with BOP without running any WEC events this year.

If they’re going to make BOP changes, I hope it does. Otherwise they’re changing going into the race.

That they do. Stupid phone calls, interrupting my Le Mans stuff.
